NYSERDA (The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority)
The NYSERDA currently offers incentives for households without access to natural gas. The two incentive options are determined by income:
- $1,500 for the purchase of a new pellet stove with the recycling of an existing wood, pellet stove, or insert (with firebox), in a primary residence.
- Households with income less that 80% of county median may qualify for $2,000 for the purchase of a new pellet stove in a primary residence and an additional $500 with the recycling of an existing wood, pellet stove, or insert (with firebox).
In addition, homeowners may also qualify for a low-interest loan to cover project costs!
